Crinkled Rice Paper Painting

Experience this new technique when painting different forms. This method is useful for painting tree forms and other highly textured subjects. Inspired by Frederick Wong and Tseng-Ying Pang, rice paper is crinkled, manipulating it to the desired texture, and painting on the wrinkled surface is the most natural way to capture the tree and other natural forms. The result is a beautiful combination of East and West, and abstraction and realism.  Register online or call Community Education 763.682.8770.
