Puppy Training and Dog Obedience is offered through BHM Community Education. Classes are held at Water's Edge Dog Center in an indoor heated facility with matted floors.

Puppy Training

For all breeds of puppies, ages 9 weeks to 5 months. Each class starts with 15 minutes of puppy play and socialization.  Topics including biting, housetraining, and other issues related to raising a good mannered puppy.  Classes are indoors in a heated facility with matted floors at Water's Edge Dog Center. Puppies need their first set of shots including Bordatella. Young handlers should be 10 years old and accompanied by a parent.  Register to begin on any Monday night.  Bring a regular buckle collar, 6-foot leash and plenty of soft dog treats.  6 week session - $59

Dog Obedience

For all breeds of dogs 6 months and older who have not completed a beginner or puppy class. Work on heeling on leash, figure eight heeling, sit, down, stay, stand, and recalls with a finish. Classes are held at Water's Edge Dog Center in an indoor heated facility with matted floors. Dogs need to be up to date on vaccination. Young handlers should be 10 years old and accompanied by a parent. Bring a regular buckle collar, 6-foot leash and plenty of soft dog treats.   8 week session - $79.
