Video Game Animation: Exploring Movement
(Grades K-2)
Dive into the world of two dimensional video game design and animation by creating characters that move and interact with one another. Working in pairs, students will create a dynamic video animation game using Scratch, the innovative programming language created just for students by the MIT Media Lab. Students will learn how animate sprites (characters) game, and making sprites react to different actions. Teach them to walk, run, dance, turn around and respond to keyboard input. Created games will be available online or students can bring in a USB drive on the last day. Register online or call Community Eeucation 763.682.8770.
