The Northwest Suburban Integration School District #6078 was created in 2001 in response to Minnesota's Desegregation Rule. The rule requires schools and communities to work together to design effective, voluntary strategies for creating desegregated learning environments that parents can choose for their children. Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools is one of seven member districts that make up NWSISD. The other districts include: Anoka-Hennepin, Brooklyn Center, Elk River, Fridley, Osseo and Rockford. Each offers at least one magnet school of a certain speciality. BHM offers an Arts Magnet Program at Buffalo High School. Every fall/winter, the magnet schools open for a lottery registration process.
Infinite Campus is also known as the "parent portal." It allows parents to view their child's attendance records, immunizations, food service balance and pin number, assignments (at secondary level) and allows them to view contact information and change their email address. Infinite Campus is a secure site, therefore, users need a username and password to enter. Parents can obtain this by contacting their child's school office.
PaySchools is an online payment processing system. It is currently used for parents who would like to pay for parking and activity fees at Buffalo High School, BHM employees who want to enroll in COBRA insurance and people who would like to donate to the food service Angel Account, which helps to cover those students who have a one time, short-fall in their lunch account.
